Water Filter Cartridges

Often referred to as replacement cartridges, home water filter cartridges are manufactured in a wide range of sizes, material types and styles. The main job of a residential filter cartridge is to filter out contaminants to get pure water.

Which cartridge do you need? If you already have a housing, you can select a cartridge that will fit in your housing. A 10” Cartridge, that is 4 ½” in diameter would fit inside a cartridge labeled 10” by 4 ½”. When selecting a cartridge based on specific contaminant removal, cartridges typically come in the following types: Pleated, Spun, String Wound and Carbon. Each provides different levels of filtering based on need.
